Overview of inno³’s research projects

Since 2019, Inno³, in additional to its consultancy and teaching missions, has been actively involved in research. Numerous projects have been carried out as part of an action-research approach aimed at promoting the sustainability of open models and the commons. In order to present our approach and the results of our work, we offer you a synthetic document that provides an overview of some of our activities in 2022 and 2023.

Research plays a central role at Inno³. It is deployed through a variety of projects, including monitoring, field surveys, legal design and the drafting of articles and reports. In return, our action research approach enriches our consultancy activities by providing an essential reflective perspective. Guided by the principle of open science, our content is freely accessible on our website and in open archives.

In order to share some of our achievements, we have drawn up this document, which reviews our approach to research and presents some of the projects being carried out over the period 2022-2023.

Structure and reading of our document

To make it easier for you to read and understand the document, here is an overview of the different sections that make it up:

  1. Action-research at inno³
    • The aim of this section is to explain our approach to action research and to detail our issues and involvement in the development of sustainable open models.
  2. Methods, tools and expertise
    • This section presents our research methods (qualitative and quantitative) in line with the principles of open science and using design methodologies.
  3. Projects and portfolio
    • In this sub-section, we group our research projects under 3 distinct categories: ‘Open Source Community’, ‘Ecosystem Transformation’ and ‘Solution Design’. The aim is to clarify the questions asked, the methodologies employed and the results obtained, while providing links to the relevant documentation.
  4. inno³ team & publications
    • This final section presents the inno³ research team’s publications and participation in events and training courses.
