Navigating the New EU Regulatory Landscape in Open Source [EOLE 2024]

The European Open Source & Free Software Law Event (EOLE) is an international series of annual conferences designed to encourage the sharing and dissemination of legal knowledge relating to open licences, as well as the development and promotion of best practice. An initiative born in 2008 out of the needs of practitioners in the field, EOLE aims to develop a legal doctrine dedicated to open source, with a particular focus on providing neutral, high-quality information.

The 15th edition of EOLE, entitled “Navigating the New EU Regulatory Landscape in Open Source”, will focus on the analysis of new European regulations such as the CRA (Cyber Resilience Act), the AI Act and the NIS (Network and Information Security Directive) and their effects on Open Source players and practices. The meeting will encourage the sharing of knowledge, the bringing together of initiatives and even the emergence of common dynamics within the ecosystem of Open Source players.

The event will take place over one day in Turin at the end of October 2024. The exact date and venue will be announced at a later date.
